It’s My Birthday And I’ll Cry If I Want Too

You would cry too if it happened too you!

OK I’m just kidding it’s actually been a good day so far other than the same old BS at work but other than that I came home early and got 2 more shirts today of VERY nice quality thanks to wornfree. I am about to go out for a nice dinner at The Outback Steakhouse. I absolutely LOVE their blooming onion and a big juicy steak is always a great meal. That’s pretty much it for now, oh I’m 21 now so I guess I’m legal everywhere!

Vegas here I come.

When Lack Of Motivation Gets The Best Of You

I have been realizing lately that I have a complete lack of motivation to really do anything. All I do is work, screw around on the internet and go out drinking on the weekend. I remember when I used to think of an idea for a new website and have it fully up that day. In the past few months it seems those days are no longer around. All I seem to be doing is wasting time with senseless things and wondering why. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think I’m depressed or anything, maybe theres only so much you can do before you need to relax for a while and then get back into motivation mode.

Actually thinking about it now as I write this I am feeling a little more motivated. What I want to do is I have about 100 niche website ideas that wouldn’t take more than a few hours each to launch. So even if I do a few a week I could get them done in a reasonable time and hopefully be pulling in some decent dough as time goes on and as I up my SEO efforts. I’ll tell you guys a bit more about the system I’m using to make all these websites in such a short time and how easy it is to make money from them in a few weeks or so, if you want to hear about it make sure to subscribe to my RSS Feed.

UniqueBlogDesigns Contest

I love the work they do over at UBD, if I had the cash I would purchase a blog design in a heart beat but with school and everything else to pay for…well you know. Anyways they’re having a one year anniversary contest where anyone can win a Apple iPod touch and some free blog themes. The best part is how simple it is.

1 Entry for posting a comment here

5 Entries for posting about this contest :)

I love contests like this because anyone can participate and it’s so simple.

Hey Mom, What Were You And Dad Thinking?

Here’s a few pictures of me as a kid. I think I pretty much know what they were thinking, maybe I should be asking myself what the hell was I thinking (I dunno why but I used to love those troll toys).

I wonder who’s bright idea it was to put that blue hat thing on my head when it was my 1st birthday (probably my dads).

Anyways the main reason for this post is John Chow is upping the anti to a similar contest already being held on family.com so heres my entry and it was actually kinda cool I went and looked through hundreds of pictures from my childhood. Good memories.

Immortal Technique

If you don’t know who I’m talking about, Immortal Technique is a rapper who talks about world issues and things that other people are too scared to say. I really respect him for that and although I am not a huge hip hop/rap fan I love all of his songs. Just listen to the lyrics and you’ll understand exactly what I mean.

As far as I know he refuses to sign under a big label because they want him to change what he raps about so he is with an Indie label called Viper Records.

I would say my favorite song is probably “You never know” feat. Jean Grae.

First Plug In 8 Hours

I am too excited to wait until tomorrow to post the first plug on tshirtplug.com so I will do it tonight at midnight. You can already see a sneak peek of some plugs coming up if you check out the images in the gallery. I decided to allow some pictures to show just to give everyone an idea of what I am doing. Let the count down begin!

When Making The Front Page Of Digg Is Not Good

I have seen so many websites featured on the front page of digg that either don’t load or have suspended accounts from their web hosts because they are just not prepared for the rush of traffic. Since I run many websites on one server I could NOT handle that initial rush, my server is at a steady 30-40% CPU usage on average already…mostly from the millions of hits my image sharing website gets daily but I can’t really complain.

I can honestly say right now that I would not want to be on the home page of digg. It would be nice but the amount of traffic most likely would be too much on my current server. I plan on upgrading but considering all of my websites are not monetized and all free services used by thousands of people there’s only so much I can personally afford. If I was working full time I would have no problem getting a bunch of dedicated servers but right now being a full time student and working part-time there is no way in hell I could afford more.

Do you guys think you could handle the front page of digg with your current host? I’m no expert but I think the minimum requirement would have to be at least one decent dedicated server. If you’ve ever experienced a surge from StumbleUpon and had trouble with that then good luck surviving a digg frontpage.

Please DO NOT digg this!

Should You Make Your Own RSS Icon?

I have been thinking about this for a while now, whether or not to make my own unique RSS Icon instead of just using the standard like everyone else.

So far I haven’t thought of one for this blog but as I was working on the design for tshirtplug.com I figured a clone of those “Feed Me” RSS T-shirts would look cool so I found a picture of a white tee, did some editing and came up with this.

Personally I think it looks cool and should do the job.

What do you guys think?

And do you think making your own RSS Icon could cause confusion and maybe less subscribers from people not noticing as easily?

TShirtPlug Official Launch Date Is Set

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update and an explanation for my lack of posts lately.

I have been contacting many companies about tshirtplug.com and working on getting the design done. Launch date has been set for August 18, 2008.

So far I have about 7 confirmed t-shirts coming (just got 1 today) and tomorrow I should hear back from a lot of people hopefully with more good news! I also wanted to remind everyone that ANYONE can send in a t-shirt regardless or who you are or who your company is. I am not biased and all t-shirts will be plugged.

Also I wanted some feedback on the design, what I can do to improve it, what you like about it, ideas of things to add, etc.

Thanks guys!

Please Tell Me This Is A Joke

I was just skimming over some of the latest videos on bloggears and saw this one from “badgals-radio” or whatever.

http://www.bloggears.com/30/come-see-a-badgal-today/

I’m not the type to usually just call people out and criticize or openly make fun of them but if this woman is serious she has issues. Go watch the 60 second video and let me know if you think it’s a joke or for real.

She starts off with “Who says the new face of blogging can’t be pretty and smart” then she does her pitch, whatever and ends with “that’s badgals-radio dot com, baby”. Her pitch and all that is fine but some people are way over-confident for their own good. Go watch some other videos on her blog and you might just throw up all over your keyboard.

I feel like I’m being e-molested when I hear her talk.
